Interpoma 2012, the eighth edition of this event dedicated to apples, saw 16,017 trade operators, with visitors up +13.5% on 2010. 374 exhibitors from 17 countries and over 16,000 visitors from over 60 different countries attended the event. 200 people welcomed with enthusiasm the new opportunity offered by Interpoma: guided visits of the local apple growing systems; 880 people took part in the three day international convention “The Apple in the World”, which focused on worldwide trends in apple production and marketing, the determination of the appropriate production location and marketing organization in the European apple growing areas, soil fatigue and problems in seed reproduction.
